Open Mic Letterkenny, Thursday, the 12th of December 2013
Open Mic Letterkenny will host their Christmas Special Open Mic night from 7 - 10pm on Thursday the 12th of December 2013 in the Regional Cultural Centre in Letterkenny. This is a creative platform which encourages pro social activity by building confidence through performance without the need for drugs and alcohol. No cover charge and complimentary mocktails will be served to one and all!

This is a support programme if you or your family is suffering from the strain of a loved one's addiction and you don't know what to do. You may have questions about addiction and need honest answers about treatment and recovery or you want to discover ways to manage the pressure and stress caused by the strain of addiction. ‘Don’t Say A Word’ The Play, Sligo Northside Centre, 3.12.2013
The Sligo Traveller Support Group secured funding to bring the play 'Don't Say a Word' to Sligo Northside Community Centre as part of the Domestic Violence Awareness Campaign which runs during that week. Refreshments will be served. It will commence at 10.45 and finish at 12.oopm.

Drug & Alcohol Awareness Day – Letterkenny IT, 24/9/2013
The 3rd successful Drug & Alcohol awareness Day was held during Fresher's Week in Letterkenny IT, facilitated by Mary Healy, Assertive Outreach Worker,the RDTF team and the Alcohol Forum who were on campus handing out information leaflets and wristbands to students.

Community Reinforcement Training 21 & 22/10/13
CRA Training is a comprehensive behavioural programme for treating substance abuse problems, based on the belief that environmental contingencies can play a powerful role in encouraging or discouraging drinking or drug use. It was delivered by Gerry Ryan of the Tolka River Project in the Sligo Development Centre and funded by the North West Regional Drugs Task Force. All RDTF project workers who work in the area of treatment and rehabilitation participated over the two days. Follow up training workshops will take place in mid November, early December.
Alcohol Awareness Seminar, 17th of October, Sligo Park Hotel
An Alcohol Awareness Seminar is being organised by St Mary's GAA to increase awareness of the issues asociated with alcohol with particular emphasis on under-age drinking - through the presentation of real life experiences by speakers on the day.
