Family Support- Hidden Harm Coordinator – Sligo/Leitrim

The experience of children living with, and affected by, parental substance misuse has become known as ‘Hidden Harm’ because these children are often unknown to services. This role of Family Support Coordinator will support families where hidden harm may be present. They will also work with HSE & Section 39 funded addiction services to support families and ensure best possible outcomes for children impacted by Hidden Harm.

Proposed Interview date(s): Interviews will take place in November. At least one weeks’ notice will be given for interview.

Taking up Appointment: A start date will be indicated at job offer stage

Location of Post: The post holder will by employed by The North West Regional Drug and Alcohol Task Force based in Sligo

Details of Service: North West Regional Drug and Alcohol Task Force in conjunction with HSE Addiction services wish to recruit a Family Co-Ordinator who will ‌develop, implement & oversee ‌‌drug‌ ‌and‌ ‌alcohol‌ ‌family‌ ‌support‌ ‌initiatives‌ ‌throughout‌ ‌the‌ ‌Sligo & Leitrim Region.

Contract: 1 year fixed term contract

Reporting Relationship: The successful candidate will be employed by The North West Regional Drug & Alcohol Task Force. They will report to Addiction Services Lead and will work closely with HSE Addiction Manager and Teams in Sligo/ Leitrim Region.

Salary: The salary for this position will be based on Social Care worker Salary Scale 2024. Point on scale will be allocated depending on experience.
