The Task Force has been granted Once Off Minister’s Initiative funding from the Department of Health to strengthen the capacity of task forces to support the implementation of Reducing Harm, Supporting Recovery during 2018. A grants scheme has been funded to support the ongoing actions within Sligo City Alcohol Strategy. Today and for the rest of the week, a number of events and programmes are being hosted by eight community and voluntary sector groups around Sligo namely: Sligo Men’s Sheds Association, Ballymote Family Resource Centre, The CRIB, Sligo Social Services CE Scheme, Sligo Family Resource centre, Sligo Family Support Centre, Owenmore Gaels GAA Club and the Havin a Laf group.
