In light of the night-time economy reopening since Friday the 22nd of October, the HSE is launching a new drugs harm-reduction campaign, reminding people who choose to use drugs: ‘If You Go, Go Slow’. HSE Drugs.ie is unveiling the campaign #IfYouGoGoSlow with a launch event, which brings together a community of key stakeholders to share harm prevention information and to discuss the benefits of providing health and social interventions in nightlife settings. https://www.drugsandalcohol.ie/34162/ The latest figures from the Health Research Board (HRB) (click on the link above) show continued growth in the number of cases* seeking treatment for problem cocaine use, including crack cocaine use, despite an overall drop in the numbers entering drug treatment* Overall findings on drug treatment in 2020 - In 2020, a total of 9,702 cases were treated for problem drug use, a 9% decrease from 10,664 in 2019.
